Core Features

The Arsenal & Vehicles

Weapons

Every weapon is a distinct recording, balanced so that reach trades against rate of fire:

  • Sidearms: pistol and magnum.
  • Submachine guns: Uzi, MP5 and P90.
  • Rifles: rifle, M16 and FAMAS.
  • Precision: bolt‑action rifle and sniper rifle.
  • Close quarters and support: shotgun, heavy machine gun and minigun.
  • Explosives: hand grenades, rocket launcher, timed bombs and a deployable mortar.
  • Anti‑air: Javelin and Stinger lock‑on missiles for bringing down aircraft.

Vehicles

Every vehicle has spatial engine audio and audible threat warnings, and is steered by compass direction rather than a wheel:

  • Land: jeep, buggy, fast attack vehicle, armoured car, tank, truck and troop truck.
  • Water: boat and patrol boat.
  • Air: helicopter, attack helicopter with missile‑lock warning, plane and strike jet.

Download Frontline

Windows 64-bit · Free

Everything is in one download — the game brings its own audio libraries and sound packs, so there is no runtime to install first.

About 72 MB. Free, no adverts, no pay to win.

Step-by-Step Installation Guide

  1. Extract the archive: Unzip Frontline.zip to any folder on your PC (e.g. Documents\Frontline).
  2. Launch the game: Run frontline_windows.exe. Ensure the lib folder and frontline.dat remain in the same folder.
  3. Windows SmartScreen notice: If Windows shows a protected PC prompt, press More info and select Run anyway.
  4. Create your account: On first launch, pick "Create a new account", enter your email, choose your in-game callsign, and set a password.
  5. Learn the ropes: Every new player is taken through a short, guided training ground first — movement, the information keys, tracking and shooting — and is then dropped into the lobby to gear up, take a contract and deploy.
