Terms of service

Frontline terms of service

Last updated 2 August 2026.

These apply to Frontline specifically, alongside the main terms, which also apply.

1. The game is free

Frontline costs nothing and always will. There is nothing to buy, no subscription, no advertising, and no paid advantage of any kind. Credits and weapons are earned by playing.

2. Your account

An account is needed to play online, because the world persists between sessions. One account per person, please. Do not share it, and do not sign in to anyone else’s.

What is stored is listed in full in the Frontline privacy policy.

3. Fair play

Frontline is a competitive game, so specifically, do not:

Finding and telling me about a bug is welcome and will never get you into trouble. Quietly farming one will.

4. Names and chat

Your username and messages are seen by other players. Keep them free of hateful, sexual, threatening or harassing content, and do not impersonate another player or the developer. Names that break this may be changed or removed.

5. The leaderboard

Playing online means your username, level, kills and deaths appear on the public leaderboard on this website. That is part of playing the game. Your email address never appears there. If you would rather not be listed at all, say so and you will be removed.

6. Progress and in‑game items

Levels, credits, weapons, vehicles and bases exist inside the game only. They have no real‑world value, cannot be bought, sold or transferred for money, and are not property.

Every effort is made to keep progress safe, but this is a hobby project: progress could be lost to a bug, a server failure, or a necessary reset. If a reset ever becomes unavoidable, it will be announced in advance with the reason given.

7. The game is in development

Frontline is actively being built. Features will change, balance will be adjusted, and weapons or systems may be added or removed as the game improves. Updates may require you to download a new version; older versions may stop being able to connect once the network protocol changes.

8. Suspension

Breaking the fair play or conduct rules above can lead to an account being suspended or removed. Where that happens you will be told what for, and you can reply and put your case. This is a small community, and the aim is to keep it a decent place to play, not to hand out punishments.

9. Server availability

The Frontline server runs on a single modest machine paid for personally. It may go down for maintenance or without warning. There is no guarantee of availability, and no compensation for downtime — the game is free.

10. Reporting problems

Bugs, unpleasant behaviour by other players, and accessibility problems can all be reported to the developer. Accessibility problems in particular are treated as bugs, not as requests. How to get in touch.
